Barnes and Noble has found its first United Kingdom retail partner to distribute the entire Nook line of e-readers. John Lewis will be stocking the devices in 37 of its stores within the next few months. Customers will get the perfect chance to get their hands-on time with the e-readers and tablets before making a buying decision.
Ed Connolly, director of buying for electronics and home technology at John Lewis, said: “Always first with the latest technology, John Lewis is thrilled to be chosen as the premier UK launch retailer for the NOOK. This award-winning line of eReaders adds greater choice to this expanding category. We think our customers will love NOOK’s adaptability thanks to its E Ink display and unique built-in GlowLight, perfect for day or night time reading.”
No word yet on how much the Nook Tablet and Nook Glowlight will cost UK customers. The company intends on securing more partners as the launch date approaches.
