GoodEReader met up with BookTrack at Digital Book World this week to learn more about the ways that authors and publishers are able to make their books stand out in the crowd by adding enhanced features. While some critics have complained that reading on an electronic device is too far removed from “real” reading to be enjoyable, still many others enjoy the entirely new experience of digital reading; the ability to add a thematically accurate soundtrack simply adds to the experience.
Some of BookTrack’s unique features include the capability of the soundtrack to follow along automatically with the speed of the reader in order to keep up with page turns, a screen test that allows the user to determine how fast they will read so that the music flows seamlessly with the page turns, and a pre-selected soundtrack of music generated specifically for each title that flows with the tone of the book on each page.
