When we reviewed the HP TouchPad last month as it launched in Canada, we lamented that the official Amazon e-Reading App did not work here. Today the webOS application has finally added Canada to the list of supported countries. It is still in beta status and I found it still does not work properly.
There are slim pickings of reading apps available on the HP TouchPad and Amazon is the only big company to offer an app to buy and read books. I would have seriously thought Kobo would have made one or even Barnes and Noble. So if you are a serious reader, the HP TouchPad may not be for you.
