Dasung is a new company in the e-paper space and the only commercial product they have released was the Paperlike, which was an e-ink computer monitor. They have taken to Twitter to tease their first 13.3 inch e-reader and said it was going to be formally announced in the near future.
Little is known about this 13.3 inch E Ink Carta e-reader but it will feature a resolution of 2200 x 1650 pixels and 207 PPI. There is also speculation that it will have a HDMI port, allowing you to connect it to your PC and be able to use it as a external monitor. Dasung has also promised that this product will have two different operating systems, Android and Windows 10. How exactly they intend on giving a fluid Windows 10 experience on an e-reader remains to be seen.
Dasung took to the Microblogging platform Weibo, and has promised that this e-reader will be cheaper than the Onyx Boox Max and the recently discontinued Sony DPT-S1 Digital Paper.
