Well, eReaders are luxury for those who don’t read frequently, and it’s a convenience for those who are avid readers.

Those who are regular readers, ereaders can be both a necessity and a convenience. Here is why:

• Ereaders are portable. You can carry them anywhere you go. It’s like carrying multiple books in one device. So, you don’t have to travel with multiple books. So, you can read anywhere and anytime.
• Unlike physical books, which can be expensive to many, buying ebooks and reading them on ereader is relatively an affordable alternative.
• You can adjust text size, page layout, page orientation, making reading more enjoyable and comfortable to your eyes.
• Having an ereaders save you time that you would otherwise spend on library trips.
• Ereaders are eco-friendly because they cut down reliance and usage of print books, which consume crucial resources like water, paper, etc. Also, because you don’t need to visit libraries, it cuts down your transporation needs and reduces your carbon footprints.
• It saves you space because you can download and save many books on a small device.
• Most of the ereaders allow you to search for texts and look up words.

But everyone has a different viewpoint or answer to the question in the title. Those who already own a tablet or smartphone with a large screen believe that ereaders are a luxury. To those who love the feeling of reading print books also say it’s a luxury.
