Today we released a new version of our Playbook App Store Client that is sure to impress.
One of the most exciting features is the inclusion of our popular Payment Gateway! We initially designed this for the Android version of our store, so customers could pay for apps via Paypal and download them securely to their tablet. We rolled out a massive update that gives customers the ability to pay for content within the app! There is no re-directions to your internet browser or anything to detract from the Good e-Reader experience. If you find a paid app you want to buy, you can click on purchase and pay via Paypal. If a specific app requires a serial number, you will be prompted to enter an email address so it can be sent to you. Once you purchase the app or game, it will automatically be downloaded to your Playbook in BAR format. You can finally use DDPB Installer to go through the motions of installing it on your device.
Another new feature we rolled out, due to popular demand, is our expanded navigation. One of the drawbacks of Android apps ported over to the Playbook is the lack of forward and back buttons. You have to strictly rely on the back button by swiping downwards on your Playbook. This is tremendously irritating and we have remedied this by adding softkeys at the bottom of each app you check out. This makes navigating between apps in a specific category easier than ever before! Finally, we have added a new banner image at the top of the client and fixed many bugs that were submitted to us.
