Samsung Galaxy Tab hits the UK November 1st
The Samsung Galaxy Tab will be available in the UK across all major networks, key high street and out of town electrical retailers and online such as Carphone Warehouse, Dixons Store Group and T-Mobile.

Barnes & Noble Launches PubIt!
Have any brilliant manuscripts kicking about, just waiting for a readership? Well now you have another route to getting your work published. Barnes & Noble have launched the latest self-publishing effort. Though a little behind schedule — the service was slated for a summer release — the new PubIt! (as it is called) is a further attempt to weaken the strong grip that the traditional publishing houses have maintained over the distribution of literature, allowing for the middleman to be cut out, so to speak, in the writer-to-reader relationship.

Germany’s leading online self-publishing platform XinXii goes international
This one hails out of Germany. The service is called XinXii. It is Germany’s largest self-publishing-to-ebook platform — but they are trying to expand. A spokesperson from XinXii contacted us today to tell us they are now going to offer books in the English and French languages. The company has been around for two years and now they are going to try to move out of just the German market, and into a more international one.
Cisco Cius Tablet pricing and news revealed
Although the Cisco tablet is not being marketed at all towards average people, like the iPad, Samsung Galaxy and other tablets are targeting. Cisco released a new FAQ that outlines common questions about the tablet. They mention its aimed at the corporate crowd or firms that want to take advantage of custom Cisco conferencing and other applications.
Blio e-reading application launched for Windows Devices
The Bilo application will work with most windows computers, netbooks, and tablet computers. It will give users access to over a million free and paid ebooks. The Program itself supports a ton of different book languages. Right now it has English, French and Spanish. There are a few other languages in development such as Italian, German and other Asian languages.
What really makes Blio shines is its ability to display videos and interactive content, even HTML. Many people believe that cookbooks, textbooks and other media will really sell.
Attention Citizen! The Notion Ink Adam Needs your help!
We reported a few weeks ago that Notion Ink was soliciting community feedback for the color templates for their inaugural Adam Tablet PC. True to their word Notion Ink has now put up an Official Poll to garner community response.
Some of the colors look really slick and professional, especially the models featuring the black and silver trim. Don’t take our word for it, vote for it yourself HERE. Click on the title of this article to see ALL the different colors being tossed around for ideas.
News Publishers Jumping on Tablet Bandwagon
Apple, Research in Motion and Samsung are all courting major news papers and organizations to lock them into dedicated subscription based applications for their devices. Apple is starting a new Publisher program for people to submit magazines and news papers to, Samsung and RIM are working with most major news companies in the USA to iron out dedicated applications.
With the lower subscription base traditional news media companies are facing and dwindling sales, they are starting to hop on the tablet train, destination, newfound riches!
