Google just updated the Google Android market to give people the ability to buy and download free ebooks. We all know Google has their massive free library of books and recently launched Google eBooks. It seems they finally integrated their system into the core functionality of the Google Android Market.
The entire new books category allows you to browse over 20 categories of Books, and you can even filter to new arrivals. If the genre listing is too daunting you can browse by Best seller lists to discover what is hot in litterary book-land.
Although this update is not available for the mobile version of the Android Market, as soon as you get the Motorola Xoom you will. It is also only available to US residents so if you are the unlucky that live in Canada (like me) or the UK you will not be able to check out this service yet. No word yet on when international people may access the market.android.com/books/
