Huawei is too big a company not to have an e-reader in its line up, and they are keen to set their record straight. For as per the latest e-reader news, the first e-reader from the Chinese company has made it to the FCC database. And Huawei seems to have done all the right things with the T62W, as the e-reader has been so named, for it does have the looks and the features that can make the T62W a sure shot winner.
However, Huawei isn’t in the mood to give up the game just yet and is holding its cards close to its chest. Fortunately, some pieces of information have been pilfered, so that we know the new e-reader will come with a 6-inch white-on-gray-screen, though it’s not known at present what will be the resolution of the display. A good thing with the e-ink display is that it is touch sensitive, which obviates the need to include an elaborate keyboard of the type that can be found on the Kindle.
Among the other features that can be expected in the new e-reader are WiFi, Bluetooth, a microSDHC card slot along with a SIM card slot. The e-readers will also come integrated with 3G modems.
Anything else about the e-reader is still shrouded in mist, so that its not known with which e-book formats the T62W will be compliant. Also, Huawei isn’t letting it be known what operating system the e-reader will run, though it’s believed to be the Android OS. Or it can even be the Windows CE 6.0. One will have to wait for the final device to be revealed for definitive answers.Â
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
