Hyread has just released a new color variant for their Gaze Mini+. It is called Sakura pink, and has almost the same color scheme as the Barnes & Noble Nook Pearl Pink e-reader. The major selling points of this device are the physical page-turn buttons on both the left and right sides, as well as the sunken e-paper display, which makes text really pop since it lacks a glass layer.

The Hyread Gaze Mini+ features a 6-inch E INK Carta 1300 e-paper display with a resolution of 1448×1072 with 300 PPI. It features a front-lit display that is readable both during the day and at night.

Underneath the hood is a Quad-core 1.8 GHZ processor, 1.8 GHz, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. If this is not sufficient space for your needs, an SD card is available that can provide an additional 1TB of storage. It has a microphone, speaker, and Bluetooth 5.0. This makes it an excellent unit for listening to audiobooks. It features a gyroscope for switching orientation, Wi-Fi, USB-C, and is powered by a 2200mAh battery. It weighs about 195g.

Google Android 11 is the operating system. I don’t think it has Google Play like the Gaze Mini, but the product page does say that you can load third-party applications. This makes it helpful to sideload in your alternative app stores or individual ones. If you want to sideload your e-books, it supports EPUB, PDF, MOBI, DOC, DOCX, TXT, FB2, RTF, HTML/HTM, DJVU/DJV, CBR, ZIP, RAR, and CBZ.

The Gaze Mini+ Sakura Pink e-reader is available to purchase on the Hyread website. They are currently offering a sale, where you can buy it for $219.99 USD.
