Kobo Audiobooks are now available in France and customers can now subscribe for €9.99 per month and get access to a single audio title. There is currently only 5,000 French audiobooks on the platform, but more should be coming soon.
In order to promote the Kobo platform, their primary distribution partner FNAC has just ironed out a new agreement with Orange, a telecom carrier. Users can now pay for a subscription via their mobile plan. From May 17 to January 2019, the Kobo by Fnac Audio Books option will be included in the Orange packages. All of the operator’s subscribers will be able to enjoy one free audiobook just for signing up and then it will cost €9.99 per month afterwards. Orange users will also be able to purchase additional audiobooks on an individual basis.
