The Nova Pro is the first Onyx Boox e-reader to be released in 2019 and the Note Pro will be available in in April. These two devices will receive a new firmware update in the next few weeks and it will add a slew of new features and functionality. Here is the complete list of all the new upgrades.
Reading Enhancements
- Optimize UI;
- Simplify the note-taking operation. Now allow writing directly by stylus and turn pages or menu by fingers;
- Improve PDF saving speed;
- Add color writing to PDF functions, including black, white, red, blue and green(visible after exporting to PC)
- Sidenote now is associated with documents instead of pages.
- Add word contrast setting.
- Add touch area custom function(the screen is divided into 9 areas, everyone can be customized except for the central menu) ;
Note Taking FunctionalityÂ
- Optimize the UI of note management;
- Add handwriting recognition function(Internet connection required at the first time);
- Add color writing to PDF functions, including black, white, red, blue and green(visible after exporting to PC)
- Add template download from cloud;
- Allow turning pages by fingers;
- Now automatically add a new page when to turn after the last page.
Android System Upgrades
- Add directory pattern to the library, display files by storage directory(only display files in the specified folder);
- The default language of the handwriting recognition function is English. Need to download packages for other languages;
- Add assistive touch for settings;
- Allow to change settings for optimization while using apps(assistive touch required);
- Add functions of app background and font color optimization.
- Add category for apps in App store. Multiple files download is supported
