Sony has confirmed to Good e-Reader that the Digital Paper e-reader is not discontinued. The company said they have no idea why CDW refunded customers who placed an order for the DPT-S1, but they would investigate the matter.
The Sony Digital Paper is selling well and there was a recent customer satisfaction survey that 160 people filled out and the device had a 85% approval rating.
In the last few weeks Sony has expanded their distribution outside of CDW and B&H and is now selling the DPT-S1 on Amazon. There is a limited price promotion currently available and you can buy it for $699, which is a $100 discount.
