Breaking news! Staples in Canada will now carry the Amazon Kindle WIFI and the Amazon Kindle 3G 3rd generation e-readers. We just got this news from the main company HQ in Canada. They mentioned that they should have been in stock across Canada in a week or two. There is no press release on this information.
Staples has been carrying the Amazon Kindle line of e-readers in the USA since around October of 2010. Currently the retail super chain only carries the Kindle WIFI and the Kindle 3G, but not the Kindle DX. The Canadian arm of Staples will maintain this distribution and not carry the DX or the Kindle Special Offers Edition.
Staples now joins The Source and Shopereaders as the only Canadian companies that you can buy Amazon Kindle e-readers in store. Shopereaders is still the only store you can buy the Kindle DX and the Kindle Special Offers Edition.
The Amazon Kindle at Staples WIFI version is set to be $159.00 + tax while the Kindle 3G is $239 + tax.
Update: Staples has just forwarded to us their new digital flyer that might have the new e-readers listed. Click HERE.
