Cyber Monday puts a heavy emphasis on digital content to populate your new e-reader. There are dozens of retailers that are offering discounts on ebooks, but there are still a few hardware deals around. Amazon
The Kindle Paperwhite 3 is on sale. The regular price is $139 and the deal price is $79 without Special Offers. The Kindle Paperwhite 3 Essential Bundle comes with a case and a charger. The regular price is $179, and it is on sale for $119. Best Buy is also selling the Kindles at the same price as Amazon, so you can buy one at the store or on their website, available in both black and white.
Woot is having a massive sale on Amazon Kindle products. A refurbished Kindle Voyage is available for $100. The 1st generation Kindle Oasis is $139 and the 3G version of the Kindle Oasis 1 is $159.
In Canada, the Paperwhite 3 is retailing for $99, which is $40 off the regular price. The Kindle Oasis 2 is on sale for the first time, only in Canada. The regular price is $389 and the sale price is $329, which is $60 off, this is a good deal.
Amazon is running a series of Kindle book sales in the States. You can get over 350 titles that are 80% off. They are also running a sale on a couple hundred of indie books that range from $1 to $3. There are just over 2,000 books in Kindle Countdown deals. They are offered directly by the authors. The countdown mechanism is that the price of the book goes up gradually. At the beginning it’s usually $0.99, after a couple of days it’s raised to $1.99, and so on.
If Kindle Unlimited is something you want to try, there is no time like the present. You can save 96% on three months of Kindle Unlimited – the deal is active through November 30, 2018. You can get the 3-month subscription for $0.99 instead of $29.97. It means you save as much as 96%. Existing Kindle Unlimited subscribers are not eligible to take part in the promotion,
Barnes and Noble
Barnes and Noble has discounted their Nook e-readers until Cyber Monday. The recently released Nook Tablet 10.1 regular price is $129, and it is on sale for $119. The latest generation Nook Glowlight 3 is 25% off and can be purchased for $89.99, which is also a good deal. The company also has 126 bestselling ebooks available for less than $10 that can be purchased on their website. There is also thousands of autographed books still available.
Kobo
In Canada Kobo is running a 90% off promotion on hundreds of bestselling ebooks. The Kobo Clara HD e-reader has also been severely discounted. The regular price is $139 and it is on sale for $109 from the Kobo website. Indigo Books and Music is also selling the Clara HD for the same price in their stores and online. If you want to buy print books, Indigo is also running a 50% off campaign off almost a thousand titles, most of them are new books.
Meanwhile in the United States Kobo is also running a 90% off promotion on a few hundred ebooks, the selection is different than the ones available in Canada. If you want to buy an audiobook, you can save 30% on Kobos entire catalog using the promo code Audio30. A VIP membership gives you discounts on ebooks and more Superpoints, the program is rarely discounted, but today it is 50% off, using the promo code VIP5. The only e-reader that Kobo has discounted directly is the Kobo Aura Edition 2, regular price is $119.99 and sale price is $89.99. Meanwhile, Walmart has discounted the same e-reader and it can be bought for a paltry $49.99
Onyx – The MAX2 is available with a $50 coupon on Amazon, the Note 10.3 is available for $30 off with a coupon and the Note 9.7 has a 8% off coupon.
Remarkable – The first writing slate from Remarkable is $120 off on Amazon. You can purchase it for $479.99. They have been running a series of discounts and promotions for the past few months. Maybe they are trying to get rid of inventory for a second gen model.
Google – There is a sale running for hundreds of audiobooks and ebooks. Notable ones include Never, Never by James Patterson, You are a Badass by Jen Sincero, Every Breath by Nicholas Sparks, The Shape of Water by Guillermo del Toro and Daniel Kraus.
Audible – They are running a treat yourself sale, 100 audiobooks are eligible.
