There are few mainstream reading holidays in North America and Europe. The main one is April 3rd, World Book and Copyright Day where old copyrights expire. Today though, is the second biggest day of the year, National Read a Book Day.
It is time to turn off the television and other electronics and enjoy the relaxation of reading. You may have young children or elderly in your home, if so, then you can spend quality time together by reading them a book or two.
Do you intend on visiting a bookstore, library or have a literary themed date today? You can use the Twitter hashtag #NationalReadABookDay and keep the world informed your plans.
