We first previewed the Velocity Micro Cruz e-reader about a month ago and gave you some of the specs that were available on the unit. It looks like now it’s about hit stores in the next few weeks.
It will retail for $199 and despite the fact that it runs on a Google Android 2.0 it will have NO access to the Android Market Place, similar to the Augen Gentouch78. On the flip side. the Cruz will have its own market place setup, but with very limited applications. The Tablet itself is billed as a touch screen device, but the touch aspect of it, is not very sensative and you will have to use a stylus with it, in order to get anything done.
The Micro Cruz e-reader is in full color, and is more of an entry level tablet that so happens to have a Boarders bookstore application to access ebooks. Velocity is also working on another device out soon, click HERE for more info.
