eBook creation platform Vook, who was recently honored with two innovation awards at this year’s Digital Book World conference, announced today that it will be adding Diversion Books to its growing list of companies with whom it partners to create ebook from existing or original titles. In the case of Diversion, Vook will be digitizing both.
Diversion Books is well-known for its print-to-digital production of ebooks from back list titles, but also releases original content in ebook form. Diversion has opted to work with Vook to create the actual files, given that Vook has the capacity to take on a list of hundreds of titles for ebook formatting and publication.
“We are very excited about our new partnership with Vook. Diversion has been working closely with Vook for several years and this new arrangement brings a deeper involvement between our companies. This collaboration allows Diversion to quickly increase the number of quality authors we can publish and promote,” says Scott Waxman, CEO and founder of Diversion Books.
Vook has already released ebooks of the New York Times archived content, as well as Wall Street Journal’s and Newsweek’s content. For its part, Diversion has worked with the Washington Post and Time, Inc., to digitize their material. This project with Diversion–both the back list and the new material– will allow a high-quality product to reach the market even faster.
