Woot is selling the basic entry level Kindle e-reader for $42 and you can purchase up to ten of them for this price and they are fulfilled by Amazon and will be shipped out in June 29th.
The device that Woot is selling is the 7th generation Kindle model, which came out in 2014. It is slightly heavier and thicker. Kindle 7 also does not have bluetooth to enable whispersync playback or text-to-speech, audiobook functionality or have compatibility with Voiceview.
Rumors are swirling that Amazon is going to release two new e-readers this year, including a revised Kindle Basic with an E-Ink Carta screen and the Kindle Paperwhite with a color temperature lighting system and Bluetooth.
