Something out of the way is happening at the Amazon camp as far as Kindle books are concerned. Many have reported being unable to download e-books they purchased earlier from Amazon. Download and transferring to Kindle happens to be one of the ways of adding content to the Kindle devices apart from downloading right from within the Kindle devices themselves.
As the eBook Reader Blog stated, the feature worked initially but ran into errors subsequently. However, while you are on the Content page at Amazon, where all your downloads are listed and accessible only to members who have signed in, you are still redirected to the Amazon sign-in page asking you to sign in again.
Unfortunately, after you have signed in, you are shown an error message with no sign of the book getting downloaded to your computer. Repeating the same process or signing in afresh didn’t help much. Interestingly, the problem seems to be affecting only some users and not all of them. At least, that is how things seem to be right now.
Of course, not everyone checks whether the download section is working simultaneously. Those who might want to check and encounter the same issue can let us know in the comment section below. It can be an error or a temporary problem that will be fixed soon, though we have yet to hear from Amazon.
Keeping a backup of all e-books purchased from Amazon is always good. Who knows, Amazon might phase out the download and transfer to Kindle option altogether.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
