Kindle for Android has a new notification system that will go live in the next few weeks. It will let you know when an author of a book you have bought releases a new title. There is also a deal feature that will let you know when your favorites authors books are on sale or any ebook that is on your wishlist. Amazon has also issued split screen functionality, you can resize the app to multitask while reading without ever switching context.
