Amazon is running a Mother’s Day promotion for the Kindle Paperwhite 4 and the new Kindle with frontlight. The Paperwhite 4 has received a $40 discount and is now on sale for $89, the price has never been slashed like this before. The entry level Kindle has received a $20 savings and can be purchased for $69.
In order to sell as many of these are possible Amazon is also giving away a free three month subscription to Kindle Unlimited, which is their ebook subscription service. The platform has over one million audiobooks, ebooks and digital comics. It normally costs $9.99 per month and once the three month trial is over, it will switch over to the standard rate, unless you cancel.
Meanwhile in Canada the Kindle Paperwhite 4 has received a $20 discount and is available for $119. The entry level Kindle is normally $119, but it is on sale for $89.99, which is $30 in savings.
I would recommend the Kindle Paperwhite 4 if you are going to capitalize on any of these deals. If you do serious reading, a 300 PPI screen is essential, since text will be crisp. It is also waterproof and has a better frontlight system.
