Amazon has been running Kindle publishing for periodicals forĀ blogs a very long time. It helps publishers convert their news publications via RSS and convert it into a daily ebook. This e-book could be subscribed to for free or some publishers charged a monthly subscription fee. The content would be delivered to your Kindle on a daily or monthly basis. Amazon has just announced that they are discontinuing the service and shutting it down completely on August 19, 2019. They cited low usage as they sole reason they have decided to pull the plug.
There are different facets to Kindle Publishing for Periodicals, it not only includes blogs, but also newspapers and magazines. Only the blog program is being discontinued and the others are going to continue to run as normal.
