The 7 inch e-reader-cum-tablet segment seems to be the hottest right now, what with fresh rumors surfacing about Barnes & Noble readying a successor to its already popular Nook Color e-reader tablet. We are already having to deal with a lot of rumors right now, especially regarding big names like Motorola and Apple developing low initial cost devices.
However, while the above mentioned tablets are still shrouded in uncertainty, the second iteration of Nook Color is rumored to make its formal appearance on the 7th of November. Further, there might also be an e-ink based e-reader announced on that day too, one that will be priced really low to compete with the latest Amazon releases. Also, with Amazon now having finally entered the tablet segment with its Kindle Fire, and raking up huge pre-orders as well, rumors about B&N upping its game with an even better Nook Color do make sense. So one way or another a next gen Nook Color is due and this might well be it.
However, as it is with all rumor stories, everything stands on slippery ground and will remain as such until B&N comes up with something definitive.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
