The Amazon Kindle Oasis 3 is the flagship e-reader and due to the popularity it has been chronically sold out in the US market. If you want to protect your investment, there are very few cases available. Amazon has one single leather case they sell, but it is hard to find. You can get it in a bunch of different colors, but it is basically only available with the Amazon Kindle Oasis Essentials bundle. Even 3rd parties like Casebot have a single case, and it was initially designed for the Oasis 2 and it has no sleep cover functionality. Amazon promised an entire line of cases, but they have not materialized.
The lack of cases from 1st and 3rd parties are virtually non-existent on the Amazon website in Canada, USA and United Kingdom. It doesn’t seem like companies are interested in making a case for a very expensive product. Instead Amazon and these 3rd parties are basically only making cases for the Paperwhite 4 and entry level Kindle, and there are dozens of these. Some are made of high quality leather, vegan leather or even cork! Some of these are fairly popular with thousands of reviews.
I believe most companies are not developing a case for the Oasis, is because of the sleep functionality. Each generation of the Oasis has a different magnet placement on the e-reader, this ensures that cases made for the Oasis 2, will not work with the Oasis 3. The lack of backwards compatibility should increase demand in cases, but the opposite is occurring, nobody is taking the risk.
I could only find around 6 cases on Amazon that were designed for the 2019 edition of the Oasis and most have weird and colorful designs, nothing really minimalist.
It remains to be seen if Amazon will release an entire line of cases for the new Oasis, but I am not holding by breath.
