Kobo is running a sale for Canadian and US customers on their website for the Kobo Forma and the Kobo Clara HD. The Canadian based company hardly ever provides discounts on any of their e-readers directly and normally sales are done through their retail distribution partners and what surprised me about this sale, is that the Forma can be picked up a huge savings, this device is rarely available for anything less than the full price.
In Canada the Kobo Formas regular price is $299.99, but it is on sale for $249.99 for the 8GB model and $299 for the 32GB version. The Kobo Clara HD’s retail price is $139.99 and it is on sale for $119, which is the same price as the Kindle Paperwhite 4. The same deals are not only available on Kobo.com, but also online and in the store from Indigo Books and Music. Meanwhile in the United States the Kobo Forma is normally $249.99 and it is available for $199.99 for the 8GB and $249 for the 32GB version. The Kobo Clara HD retails for $119.99 and it is on sale for $99.99. In both markets, the newest e-reader, the Libra H2O has not received any sort of savings and remains at full price.
