Taiwan based Quanta Computers has proclaimed that they are beginning volume production on Research in Motions Blackberry Playbook Tablet PC. The number of tablets being made is competitively going against the Motorola Xoom, which is slated to manufacture 700,000 to 800,000 units.
The first Blackberry Playbook is due out this march in the WIFI only version, while the 3G model which will be out in the second quarter of 2011.
Compal Electronics which is the company tasked with manufacturing the Motorola Xoom will also be out around March or April, with the Verizon LTE version being released in the second quarter.
