Over the course of the last few months there have been a number of notable tablets that have been announced. Apple is going to be releasing their first large screen device that is aimed at the productivity segment with their iPad Pro. Meanwhile, the Surface 4 and the Pixel C are targeting the exact same demographic. Amazon has a bevy new new devices, but the $50 Fire tablet has been firmly embraced by the press. This upcoming holiday season close to 58 million tablets will be shipped out worldwide, all vying for your consumer dollars.
Apple will account for 23.9% of shipments, followed by Samsung Electronics 14.5%, Lenovo 5.3%, Amazon 4.8%, Asustek Computer 3%, Microsoft 2.3%, TCL 2.2%, Huawei Device 2%, LG Electronics 2% and Acer 1.3%.
