The countdown has begun as the much awaited Galaxy Tab from Samsung has been announced to break cover as early as next month. And from the early rumors, it seems the tablet from Samsung has got all that it takes, including the important strong brand loyalty to do the ‘cat among pigeon’ effect on the plethora of 7 inch tablets. However, for a tablet this promising, some sort of hint as to what the tablet would be like or what it’s capable of – if not a detailed spec sheet – has been sorely missing.
But not any more as what we have here can be a pointer of the things to come. So from what has become evident, the Galaxy Tab might ride into the European market partnering Vodafone. It might have a 1.0GHz ARM S5PC110 processor at its core with the latest version of Android, the Android 2.2 Froyo doing OS duty. Also, the 7 inch screen is likely to have a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
These apart, the Galaxy Tab might come with features like a 3.2 mega pixel rear camera and tiny front-facing shooter. Then the tablet is touted to come with a Swype keyboard, Flash along with WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Of course none of it is confirmed and the device might spring a few surprises. But it sure whips up the appetite to wonder what Samsung has actually packed into their Galaxy Tab. Just a few weeks more and our wait will be over.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
