Acer’s Honeycomb tablet, the Aspire ICONIA TAB A100, is now up for pre-order with Amazon UK. It’s just £299.99 and a little over two weeks away from eager tablet PC fans and Honeycomb followers. The tablet starts shipping as early as April 20th. The price of the Acer tablet, in equivalent US dollars, comes to around $485. It’s likely to be priced even lower than that in the US, considering prices of electronic goods are generally cheaper in the states. We predict the price will be around $350 for Aspire ICONIA TAB A100 when it eventually goes on sale in the US.
As for the tablet’s spec story, it is one piece of hardware to definitely look forward to. To begin with, the tablet comes with a 7 inch capacitive touch screen having a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, which is quite good for a 7 inch display. The ICONIA TAB A100 also includes HDMI port, along with Bluetooth 3.0, and will be available in both Wi-Fi and 3G version. 2 and 5 megapixel cameras are also built-in at the front and rear of the ICONIA TAB A100.
Also, of course, there is the dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor at the core coupled to a 512 MB RAM, while on board storage is in the form of 8 GB of Solid State disk. The dual core CPU has also endowed the tablet with 3D graphics processing capability as well as playing back high-definition video of up to 1080p.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
