Acer has three tablet PCs to show off at the ongoing Mobile World Congress with all three of them being from the Iconia family. Also, two of the tablets – the 7 inch Acer Iconia Tab A100 and the 10.1 inch Acer Iconia Tab A500 run the tablet specific version Android 3.0 Honeycomb while the third variant – Acer Iconia Tab W500 will have on board the Windows 7 operating system. So what was till even a month ago a single version brand has now grown to three.
Coming to the Iconia tablet PCs, both the A100 and A500 tablets have the 1 GHz dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 heart. Of these, the smaller A100 will come with a 512 MB sized RAM along with 8 GB of on board storage. Similarly, the larger A500 tablet with a 10.1 inch display includes a 1 GB RAM with 16 GB and 32 GB of internal memory options.
As for the sole Widows 7 representative, the Iconia Tab W500 also sports a 10.1 inch display and is built around a dual core AMD C-50 Ontario processor and AMD Radeon HD 6250 graphics chipset. The Windows 7 will have a 2 GB RAM along with 32 GB of internal storage. The W500 has a display resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and is also include a keyboard docking station that will allow one to use the tablet as a netbook PC.
