The Transformer Prime Tablet finally hit the market towards the end of last month, though with Android 3.2 onboard. What this means is that it was left to a software update to bring the tablet up to Android 4.0 ICS and Asus has been really prompt in keeping its promise to make the update available ahead of schedule. However, that does not mean the entire saga has a fairy tale ending. Not all Transformer Prime owners are getting Android ICS on their devices.
The entire fiasco has come into being as the update is unable to identify the serial number of the device in many instances. At least ASUS is aware of the issue and is suggesting one waits for 15 minutes before trying the OTA update again. Another option that Asus representative Gary Key recommends is to go for a factory reset before trying the upgrade process. This has had mixed results so far as the recommendations haven’t worked for all the Transformer Prime devices.
Asus is on the task and a solution is expected soon, though the company hasn’t yet committed to any time frame that would bring all of the Transformer Prime devices uniformly up to Android 4.0 standards.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
