ViewSonic has already let it known their intentions of reaching the IFA next week with two tablet devices in the 7 and 10 inch category. Its something that Toshiba too is up to though ViewSonic has gone a step further by making the 10 inch tablet to dual boot both the Android and the Windows 7 operating systems. And now, perhaps with the aim of keeping consumer interest on the high, ViewSonic has come up with some high resolution images of the ViewPad 7 which also provides a clear indication of the goodies that the 7 inch tablet will come along with.
So while the black glass front along with the silver edge does look cool, the tablet also stands the chance of getting lost among the plethora of tablets that also sports a similar form. In fact, the ViewPad 7 bears a striking similarity with another pad suffixed device, the OlivePad that the India based Olive Telecom has already launched in the domestic market. This has led many to speculate if the OlivePad is the rebranded version of the ViewPad or, what seems more likely, both the manufacturer may be sourcing their components from the same OEM manufacturer. While it isn’t clear as to which of the two tablet is the rebranded version or whatever be the scenario, it will be interesting to see how the two tablets fare in the market. While specs of the OlivePad is known to some extent and which points towards a tablet with decent performance, not much is known as to what the ViewPad 7 has on the inside.
There however is some info about what the tablet will be capable of. Like the pictures reveal an integrated webcam on the left front edge while a mini USB port and a headphone out can be seen on the bottom of the tablet. A quartet of buttons can be seen on the right front edge of the tablet just as it is in the OlivePad. Combine these with the earlier rumors of the tablet having other features like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, along with a back-facing camera as well and we have an interesting tablet to look forward to.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
