Asus has come up with an even cheaper alternative to its Transformer Pad in the form of the Asus MeMO Pad ME301T. The tablet sports decent specs in line with its intended aggressive pricing strategy. Up-front, it will have a 10.1 inch display having a rather sedate 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Behind it lies a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 chip with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. The tablet runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The tablet is reported to have gone on sale in several European countries and is retailing for €349. This translates to a seemingly hefty $375+, though the actual US pricing is expected to be much less than this. There is no info as to when we can expect the tablet to reach US shores, though it’s likely to happen soon. The 7 inch version of the Memo Pad sells in the US for $149 and its 10 inch cousin should not deviate too far from this. Maybe it’s the Mobile World Congress that Asus is awaiting to make for a grand launch.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
