The Asus Eee Pad Transformer has always impressed with its unique design comprising of a detachable keypad that has its own battery pack. The fact that the tablet came pre-loaded with Android Honeycomb only added to its appeal, though Asus is upping the ante with an update that would make the Transformer run the latest Android 3.1 version. The update will be provided over the air and will be available as early as the 30th of May.
The Android 3.1 Honeycomb update on the Transformer will usher in the same sort of changes in the tablet as happened for the Motorola Xoom. These include enhancements in the user interface such as more advanced widgets and a new multi-task switcher. The tablet will also be more stable after the update. The latest version of the Android Honeycomb will also include a docking station firmware update that will lead to improvement in typing speed, mouse tracking, and USB compatibility.
Interestingly, the Computex also gets underway tomorrow and Asus will have a lot to reveal here, especially since it is a domestic event for them.
Meanwhile, here is a quick video review of the Asus Transformer after the update. The video is courtesy of Anand Lal Shimpi from AnandTech, who received the update before anyone else.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
