A screenshot from Office Depot has somehow made it to the public domain. It contains some great details to share – an under $500 price tag ($499.99 to be precise ) for the 16 GB version of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. What’s more, the screenshot has also thrown some light on the expected availability date of the PlayBook; week 17 as the likely date for the tablet to go commercial. That means April 24th to 30th of this year. Incidentally, RIM has set aside week 18 for the BlackBerry world conference scheduled to be held in Orlando, FL.
RIM has been pretty generous on sharing information about their PlayBook tablet device. Except two vital pieces of information – the availability and pricing details of the tablet. Vital since these two are more sought after than everything else. Needless to say the PlayBook has been thoroughly impressive until now. The price too can be termed reasonable and in line with other similar offerings.
So there are some more reasons to observe the proceedings at the RIM camp during April. We do hope we have more information to share by then.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
