Its turning out to be a season of discounts in the tablet segment, it seems. Also, while all of it started with the TouchPad that attained instant stardom with its now famous $99 price tag, none of the tablet PCs following its footsteps has ever trudged so low. Nonetheless, any amount below the stipulated price is always welcome and the latest tablet device out to woo us with a lower price tag is the BlackBerry PlayBook.
So as things stand now, RadioShack is offering the PlayBook for $279.99, which is $200 less than the original price of $479.99. The offer is currently in effect and will be there till the 5th of next month. The RadioShack deals stands like this:
BlackBerry PlayBook with 16 GB of on-board storage:
> $200 instant price reduction which is valid from 7th Oct till 15th of Oct,
> $200 gift card which is valid from 16th Oct till 5th of Nov.
The offer is lucrative to say the least which means those who have always been longing for the PlayBook but stopped short of actually buying it citing of a relatively high tag, well now is the time to take the plunge; and time is limited. Let’s not forget the PlayBook is a solid piece of hardware and the only reason it failed to click is its rather half baked software. RIM is all too aware of that and is doing all it can to shore up its act with a major update planned towards the end of this year.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
