The Dell Streak 10 Pro is now official. The tablet—the first from Dell with a 10 inch display—does not break any new ground with its looks. It did that with the choice of venue of the tablet’s launch; Beijing, far removed from its home country. Specification wise, the Streak 10 Pro is also in quite familiar territory with the usual Honeycomb stuff. Good thing that the price has been kept affordable and competitive vis-a-vis its rivals.
The Streak 10 Pro does come with some interesting UI customization, such as the ‘Dell Divide’ which is aimed towards creating a work oriented environment. It can be invoked by double tapping the home button and provides access to applications such as contacts, email services, calendar, and so on.
The Streak 10 Pro also comes pre-loaded with SyncUp software that enables one to synchronize content between Dell Android devices and Windows computers.
Looks wise, the tablet seems well built and while it looks like any other 10.1 incher running Android Honeycomb, the brushed aluminum finish at the back does spice things up a lot.
As for the Streak 10 Pro specifications, here they are:
1 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 T20 processor
1 GB DDR2 RAM
10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display (with Corning’s Gorilla Glass for added strength)
5 megapixel and 2 megapixel camera at the back and front
Full 1080p video playback
SD card slot (regular size)
802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1
24.1 Whr battery which, as per Dell has a backup time of 12 hrs
Dimensions: 10.3 x 7 x 0.47 inches
Weight: 700 grams (about 1.5 pounds)
Price: ¥2,999 or $465 (16 GB WiFi Streak 10 Pro with 2 GB of cloud storage)
However, as of now, the Streak 10 Pro will be busy making new friends in China before it sets sail for other destinations. Dell had earlier stated the Streak 10 Pro will be launched in Brazil, Russia, and India before embarking on a world tour.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
