T-Mobile has come up with firm price details of the Dell Streak 7 that it has announced it would launch tomorrow! This is ending weeks of speculation about what the 7 inch tablet from Dell would eventually cost. What’s also good is that among the several figures that has been floating around, the final dollar figure propped by the American carrier is surprisingly affordable at just $200. The price though, is applicable only after agreeing to a 2 year T-Mobile contract and if one wishes to go for the contract free version, the Streak 7 will come for a slightly steeper $450.
Also, the Streak 7 will ship sans the Android 3.0 Honeycomb version for obvious reasons since Google is yet to officially make available! There is plenty of excitement about the new tablet oriented version of Android to manufacturers. So while its the Android 2.2 Froyo that buyers will have to do with right now, the rest of the tablet specs continue to be impressive. Like NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, a 7 inch Gorilla Glass display along with connectivity options that includes WiFI, Bluetooth, as well as T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G mobile broadband network. There are a few gray areas though with the Streak 7, such as the 800 x 480 pixel resolution which along with its battery life lave some more to be desired. More so in face of the Samsung Galaxy Tab which excels on all these counts and has already made a strong impression with its excellent performance.
It would be interesting to see how the 7 inch tablet from Streak stacks up to the Galaxy Tab, the current leader in the 7 inch segment as well as all the other tablet PCs awaiting launch in the next couple of months.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
