Dell recently has released two different Google Android tablets in the last six months and has plans to expand on their Tablet PC offerings with a Windows 7 Business Tablet. The latest release from the company was the Dell Streak 7 which just hit stores, while the Dell Streak 5 has been around since summer of 2010.
At the “Dell Means Business” press conference today the company announced a their largest product portfolio with a whopping 39 devices under development, including the Windows 7-based commercial tablet later this year.
The upcoming tablet is designed for end-users who need greater mobility, as well as IT organizations that demand control, security, manageability and integration with existing infrastructure investments. Dell’s tablet will empower a more mobile workforce in a way that offers customers the business applications and corporate data they need, while meeting regulatory mandates and IT requirements.
There is no information on specs or UI details on the upcoming tablet, although we are quite sure to see more information surface during the next few days.
