We only recently reviewed the HP TouchPad and it is a solid first device taking advantage of the new webOS operating system. If you are looking to purchase one, there has never been a better time with a slew of companies offering. The base models price is $499 for the 16GB model and $599 for the 32 GB edition.
If you live in Canada you can get a sizable discount from purchasing the unit from BestBuy. The company is currently offering the 16 GB model for $449 and 32 GB for $549.00. If you want to order it directly from HP.com you get an instant $50.00 savings, which gives you the same price as Bestbuy. The deal gets sweeter with an additional $50.00 mail in rebate giving you the greatest deal anywhere.
United States customers seem to get widest array of discounts from many different stores, both online and offline. Online giant Amazon is currently selling the units at solid prices. You can nab the 32 GB version for $529 and you even get a further $50 early adopter mail in rebate, bringing the end price to $479! That price is less than the sticker price of the base 16GB model, so you can see where the discounts really kick in.
Costco is also down to their last few TouchPad units and giving the 32 GB model away at firesale prices. We heard some users were buying them for $479 clear.
