Those eager to be seen with the new Nexus tablet have another place to register their orders: GameStop. The world’s largest multichannel video game retailer is offering a little extra to justify procuring the tablet from Gamestop. For the 16 GB version of the Nexus 7, which retails for $249, GameStop is also offering a 30 percent trade bonus. The list of items that can be used to avail of trade bonus includes video game hardware, software, accessories, mobile Apple devices, and certain Android tablets.
“We’ve seen great consumer enthusiasm for our recommerce initiatives, particularly our iDevice trade program that launched last fall,” said GameStop President Tony Bartel before also adding: “With the increasing popularity of Android tablets and the emerging multiscreen gaming trend, this is the ideal time to expand the program to meet the needs of our hybrid customers.”
However, GameStop will not be carrying the base 8 GB version of the Nexus tablet priced at $199.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
