The Korean company Viliv has come up with another quality tablet, the Viliv X10, which lives up to the standard this company has managed to maintain consistently with its other offering namely the S5 and the 70. It is hard to be skeptical about the X1o as we otherwise would be with regard to the host of tablets that have been launched in this specific segment that’s currently hot and booming. Also, our disappointments with other tablets are usually very frequent, but Viliv X10 is definitely an exception. Here why.
The new X10 has many striking features which include an HD capable screen which is basically a 10 inch 16:9 capacitive touchscreen that has a promising 1366 x 768 resolution. In fact, Viliv is the first company to come up with a tablet that has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels when most companies seem to be all too happy to stick to the 1024 x 600 pixel domain and is far better than the iPad’s 1024 x 768 resolution. The feel good factor that starts with the screen carries on as the X10 seems to have all that it would take to entice the consumers. So, the X10 comes loaded with an inbuilt accelerometer, an integrated front facing camera, an SD card reader, along with a USB port.
Connectivity options with the X10 is limited to WiFi at present but Viliv has said there will be 3G as well as WiMAX support available soon. The other significant advantage with the X10 is its battery life that can last up to 10 hours. The Viliv X10 on display was running Android 2.1 but Vilv said the X10 will be running the upgraded 2.2 version of the OS by the time it is ready for a market release. What this also meant is that there will be support for Flash. Interesting, Microsoft too has a X1o on display at their booth but running the Windows 7 though there is no official confirmation from Vilv if there’s going to be another version of the X10 based on the Windows 7 OS or what would be the processor if there indeed is a Windows based X10.
Meanwhile, the ARM-based processor seems to be quite up to the job and has the ability of handling 3D gaming and graphics as well as exhibiting the real 720p HD video and streaming 1080p material with elan. The display is of top notch quality and so impressive the entire tablet is that it seemed to be ready for shipment right now. Also, with an Android browser, zooming in and out is only going to be that much more easy if the text on the page happens to be too sharp or too big for an ideal reading experience.
Even though the price or release dates have not yet been publicized as yet, what’s sure is that the Viliv X10 will draw a lot of attention in the coming days. And who knows, some smart marketing and the X10 might turn out to be the real iPad beater.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
