Ever rued the lack of phone calling or texting facility in the iPad? Well, some good folks based in Egypt felt the same, which prompted them to do their bit to make sure their iPad 3Gs could boast phone capabilities.
However, they aren’t releasing much information about their efforts just now. Instead, they have come up with is a video depicting an iPad 3G that has gone through some of their treatment and after which the Apple tablet is able to make phone calls, send messages, and operate FaceTime by phone number, and so on. Essentially everything that an iPhone has always been able to do.
There is no need to acquire any special hardware to pull off the feat. All you need is a first gen jailbroken iPad. The app, PhoneItiPad, is slated to reach Cydia Store soon.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
