Its going to be raining tablets this summer with all the who’s who from the field of consumer electronics all lining up to launch their tablet’s this June. What is also common is that its Honeycomb that will be the flavor of the season though Froyo and Gingerbread too are going to be on offer.
The companies who are all set to come up with their tablet offerings include Dell, Acer, HTC and Toshiba. As revealed in a leaked flyer outlining the tablet road map, most of the tablets will be in the 10 inch category though there are a couple of 7 inchers too in the list. A good thing that the leaked flyer has come up with is that all the 10 inch tablets will have Honeycomb pre-loaded though the smaller 7 inch ones from Dell and Samsung will have Android 2.2 Froyo as default operating system. The same for Acer 7 inch will have Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Of course, the two HP tablet will come with their own WebOS operating system. The HP 10 incher is expected to be priced at $499 and $599 for the 16 GB and 32 GB models. Also, as the leaked document reveals, the HP Opal that we have heard of before will also get to see a launch in September.
In a related development, Staples too are bracing themselves up with a tryst with tablets in the coming months though it seems they wish to be in a long standing relationship with tablets. In another leak of internal document, there is a bevy of tablets lined up for release in the coming months. Like there is going to be the 8.9 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab along with the 10 inch tablet offerings from Acer, Toshiba and HTC. So its not going to be just the upcoming Wi-Fi version of Motorola XOOM but a lot of more tablet that will soon be seen sharing shelf space at the Staples.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
