Of all the tablets that had lined up for a year end or early 2011 show down, HTC too had booked a slot for itself and had led many to believe they will also have a tablet PC to offer that will be just as smart as their smartphones are. Or maybe even smarter. However, there is no easy way to find that out for as per the latest tablet PC news coming in, we will have to wait longer to find out just how good the tablet device will be. The new schedule that HTC is putting forward is the second half of 2011.
The delay has been attributed to a change of support priorities on part of Google with it being Motorola that is not getting privilege treatment with the next major Android release – Android 3.0 Gingerbread while the next iteration – Android 3.5 Honeycomb will have the LG as its priority partner. HTC, often considered a long time Google ally and one that has been churning our Android smartphone regaularly does not feature anywhere for the two major upcoming Android releases.
Now this isn’t the first time a tablet device is getting delayed. And while this is never a great piece of news, what can be even more damaging if this is the early indication of an ensuing rift between HTC and Google.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
