Huawei’s “smartest, smallest and lightest tablet ever,” the MediaPad, is all set to be revealed in all its glory at an event in Singapore on the 20th of this month. However, until then, we will have to hold our breath to find how just how small, light, and smart the tablet really is. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long and better still, the company has also made available a teaser video in the meantime to let us have an inkling of what to expect on the big occasion.
The video though has been craftily shot so as not to reveal the entire story, and utmost care has been taken to portray the tablet from almost every angle except the front. However, that has been enough to bring to the fore a few aspects of the MediaPad. Like we now know for sure the tablet will have a headphone jack as well as a camera built into the rear of the tablet. Also, the Huawei label is shown prominently along the rear of the MediaPad.
What is also quite interesting about the video is that while the front of the tablet has been kept out of public view as of now, Huawei has already revealed what the tablet would be like from the front in the first set of teaser images. Or perhaps, Huawei’s biggest surprise lies with its display. The MediaTab might even sport a glasses free 3D display for a truly enthralling experience. However, while this amounts to stretching our imagination a bit too much, what does seem almost a certainty is the rich media capabilities the MediaPad would come with. Something that is all to evident in the tablet’s nomenclature itself. However, speculations apart, the tablet does look cool with a two tone color scheme that does manage to add a rich dose of style to the MediaPad’s rear.
In the end, what we do hope is that the MediaPad is priced just right to hit the sweet spot with the tablet buying crowd.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
