US retail giant Best Buy is in the news once again and this time it’s for another 7 inch tablet, the Huawei S7. So you have one more choice in the 7 inch category of Android tablet as both the Galaxy Tab as well as Huawei S7 are currently available on pre-order at double B. The price of the latter, $299, is definitely the more tempting of the two. In fact, at this price, it is almost half of what the Samsung Galaxy Tab is selling for.
The Huawei S7 also makes a strong case for itself not just in price, but also with the list of features that it comes with. It has a 7-inch WVGA resistive touch screen, b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity options, a 2 MP camera at the rear along with a 0.3 MP unit at the front and so on.
However, there is no 3G or phone functionality, something that the original Huawei S7 could boast of. Also, it’s just the Wi-Fi only version that Best Buy has on offer. The tablet is built around a 768 MHz Snapdragon processor leaving scope to ask for more, while it runs on Android 2.1. Nevertheless, all of it seems to be just right if the price is taken into consideration.
