It’s no secret that Apple and Best Buy haven’t been getting along lately, what with the allegation leveled against the latter about holding a stockpile of iPad 2 tablet PCs while telling consumers they have none. However, the issue has since been resolved amicably. At least, that is what we are made to believe, and here is further proof of normalcy setting in: the iPad 2 will be back at Best Buy starting today.
A screenshot of an internal Best Buy memo that has made it to the public domain via engadget reveals the iPad 2 will be making a comeback at Best Buy’s Sunday weekly circular. The leaked Best Buy memo also points out that the retail giant will also revert back to its reserve system which will come into effect this Sunday. The reserve system entails prospective iPad 2 customers to buy a Best Buy gift card worth $100 which ensures there will iPad 2 tablet reserved in their name. So the next time the iPad 2 is in stock, the reserved candidates have priority over those who haven’t bought the gift card.
On the flip side, supply continues to be low and there is a degree of luck needed to ensure you get your hands on the iPad 2.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
