Apple has planned for an event on the 2nd of March and this has let rumor mongers to shift to higher gear claiming that’s the day the new gen iPad would finally be launched. There have been many a rumor and whispers in the last couple of months all pointing to what the iPad might come with. What seems certain from all the speculation that has built up surrounding the new iPad is that the new iPad will come with a better display along with rear and front facing cameras supporting facetime online chat. A Qualcomm chip is likely to power the new Apple tablet.
Earlier, Apple had announced it has sold a staggering 15 million units of the iPad ever since it was launched. While the figure sure is impressive and one that matches up with the tablet’s superb capabilities, one also has to take in the fact there has never been any serious competition to the tablet. This until Samsung unleashed the Galaxy Tab during the fag end of last year. The situation though is going to be vastly different this time as the new iPad2 will be up against some serious competition from a host of manufacturers. It will be interesting to see how the new iPad shape up to the new resurgent competition.
